ESMD-WSST High-Frequency De-Noising Method for Bridge Dynamic Deflection Using GB-SAR

Ground-based synthetic aperture radar (GB-SAR), as a new non-contact measurement technique, has been widely applied to obtain the dynamic deflection of various bridges without corner reflectors. However, it will cause some high-frequency noise in obtained with low signal-to-noise ratio. To solve this problem, paper proposes an innovative de-noising method combining wavelet synchro-squeezing transform (WSST) extreme point symmetric mode decomposition (ESMD) method. First, ESMD is decompose observed signal into series intrinsic functions (IMFs), and frequency boundary original autocorrelation filtered by mutual information entropy (MIE) for each IMF pair. Second, components are fused sub-signal. WSST performed remove influence reconstruct Finally, de-noised bridge reconstructed sub-signal, remaining components, residual curve R. For simulated 5 dB noise, ratio (SNR) after reduction increased 11.13 dB, root-mean-square error (RMSE) reduced 0.30 mm. on-site experiment Wanning Bridge, rejection (NRR) 5.48 variance root (RVR) 0.05 The results indicate that proposed ESMD-WSST can retain more valid better ability than ESMD, WSST, EMD-WSST methods.
